I have to start by saying the adapter does exactly what it needs to. The reason for the 3 stars: Got the Basic MYNT3D Pen as a prize for a school STEM challenge. In the box was the pen, a holder, and some filament. We plugged it in to a USB adapter (the ones everyone has for phones and other electronics) it sat on here for 5 hours, and never stopped blinking, meaning it wasn't ready. Got a hold of support (which was quickly responsive) however when he said it was the adapter and I sent a picture of what we were using and asked how to tell on the information of the adapter what we needed, he couldn't tell me and only directed me towards purchasing one. The sale page for the adapter doesn't have any information on what the specs are, so felt obligated to buy this adapter, so my kid could use his prize he was so excited about. Received email confirmation that also stated we would be notified when it shipped. Never got a shipping confirmation and when over a week and a half had gone by since purchase, I was ready to cancel the order. Only to find out then that it was still 2 days away in the shipping process already.
I am a strong believer in if I buy something, anything that it needs to make it work should come with it, batteries being an exception, or it should have something that makes it obvious that not everything is in the box, could have purchased the adapter ahead of time, rather than waiting another 2 weeks after we received the pen to actually be able to use it.
